Tresa Chambers is the director of communications at the American Heart Association. She leads a cross-functional team in executing the communications strategy to promote the organization’s Social Impact Fund, which has made 23 investments in Black-, LatinX- and women-owned social enterprises. She recently developed the marketing communications plan to promote the EmPOWERED To Serve 2020 Health Justice Roundtable and the 2020 HBCU Scholars Roundtable addressing structural racism and health equity. She previously served as the director of communications at Texas A&M University, brand strategy consultant at Tenth Muse Enterprises, brand marketing manager at Rovi and program director in the College of Education, Center for Urban Education and Innovation at Florida International University.
