Susie Kandzor
Director of hacking for The Garage - Microsoft
Susie Kandzor is the director of hacking at The Microsoft Garage, where she owns the worldwide planning and logistics for the Microsoft Global Hackathon—a company-wide, multi-location program that brings employees and interns from all over the company together to create, innovate and hack on ideas that inspire them. The event is the largest private hackathon on the planet. Kandzor also manages storytelling, communications and marketing for Garage programs. She joined Microsoft in 2007, first in the Windows business group and then in the Microsoft events team before moving to the Garage in 2016. She has extensive experience running large-scale corporate events and programs, along with developing strategic alignments with event stakeholders based on business goals. Prior to joining Microsoft, Kandzor served as a senior manager for season ticket programs with the Seattle Sonics and Seattle Storm basketball teams. Earlier roles included director of sales and marketing and client operations manager for iPromotions, as well as positions in event and sports management and customer service programs with the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Olympics.
