Stephanie Lerdall

Stephanie Lerdall is head of corporate communications for Morningstar. She leads the global investing insights firm’s communications, including reputation management, executive communications, media relations and social media. Since joining Morningstar in 2018, Stephanie led the company throughout the pandemic to record-high employee engagement, developed integrated communications playbooks for the firm’s acquisitions, implemented earned media programs that drive an average of 500 Morningstar mentions every day, scaled social media governance and standards, and created new protocols for engagement on social issues. Prior to Morningstar, Stephanie led corporate communications for Hyatt Hotels Corporation and held roles in media relations, issues management and corporate responsibility at Allstate Insurance Company. Stephanie earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Arizona State University—a school for which she volunteered to give prospective students campus tours while walking backward. She lives in Chicago with her husband and four-year-old son.
