Shelley Spector

Shelley J. Spector is an award-winning public relations executive, author, and adjunct professor, who is best known for founding the world’s only Museum of Public Relations. a 501 (c )3 non profit based in New York City.
Spector began her career at Hill & Knowlton, where she handled investor relations for financial institutions. Following stints at other agencies, she went on to found her own firm in 1991, handling a variety of global brands, such as AT&T, HP, Bayer Corp., Phillips, and L3Harris.
She co-founded the Museum in 1995 with her husband, Barry Spector. With a collection of more than 5000 artifacts, books and photos, the Museum today provides lectures, research services and tours for hundreds of students and professionals around the world each year. The Museum also holds a series of diversity-themed events each year.
