Ray Buffington is the Senior Director of Team Member Communications and Communication Technology at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). His team is dedicated to engaging and inspiring team members and leaders through creative, timely, meaningful communication experiences that showcase HPE’s culture, strategy, products, wins, and innovation.
Buffington has more than 20 years of internal communication experience, specializing in employee experience and engagement, and change management. Since he joined HPE in 2016, he has counseled and led a number of global scale communication strategies in support of company-wide transformation on topics including culture and workplace experience. His team also evolved the internal digital experience in which team members consume and engage with news and content to make it more innovative and personalized. For Buffington, at the end of the day his team’s work is about building thoughtful, actionable experiences that bring team members along the journey while making them feel seen and heard.
Prior to joining HPE, Buffington was a senior communications consultant at Mercer and advised companies of all sizes on strategic approaches to enhance internal dialogue, foster engagement and drive behavior change.
Buffington holds a Bachelor of Arts in print journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington.
