Meca B. Mohammed, PhD

Meca B. Mohammed is the Vice President of Operations & Talent at GLISI, where she has held various progressively responsible positions since 2011. She oversees a broad range of functional areas, all focused on maximizing impact for GLISI and its partners by understanding what gives people purpose, what motivates them to change, and what experiences help them grow. Drawing on deep expertise in fields such as research, organizational behavior, and data analytics, she leverages insights around the employee experience to drive strategy and business decisions that advance mission. With a relentless commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces, Meca has played a key role in the development of GLISI’s Equity Commitments, wellbeing pillars, and culture statement.

Mohammed’s background includes a B.A. in English Literature from Spelman College, M.Ed. in Secondary Education from Boston College, and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Policy from the University of Georgia, with a concentration in nonprofit management.
