Leah Johns is the founder and leader of Bain & Company’s Global Consumer Lab, Bain & Company's centre of consumer insight and foresight. We understand not only what people are doing – but why they are doing it.
Johns leads teams to uncover actionable consumer insight and advises clients on global consumer and shopper trends, disruption, sustainability, and new business models – and their impact on consumer-facing sectors (particularly Consumer Products and Retail). She is passionate about trends, foresight and innovation. She also leads the Consumer community for Future Sensing, Bain & Company’s interdisciplinary capability that helps interpret the signals within a host of emerging trends.
She has co-authored multiple Bain & Company studies on consumer trends and ESG and appears in media publications and is a frequent conference speaker (eg Bloomberg, SXSW, Consumer Goods Forum Summit, Harvard Business Review). Johns has founded and led three start-ups and worked as a communication and change management consultant. Her career has holistically spanned Europe, the US and the Middle East.
Johns holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a degree in psychology and communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
