Laura is the managing editor for Metropolitan State University of Denver’s award-winning online newsroom, RED. She has more than 15 years of experience in content management, writing, editing, communications and strategic planning. With an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arizona and a master’s certificate in digital communications from the University of Denver, she prioritizes people-centered storytelling and performance metrics to help organizations meet and exceed their goals. Her work with` MSU Denver’s newsroom has been recognized with multiple awards—including Best Digital Platform, Best Digital Communications Campaign and Best Writing News/Feature Series—from CASE, PRSA Colorado and PR Daily.
