Jonathan Simmons

Major Jonathan D. Simmons is director of internal communication and digital outreach for HQ Air Mobility Command, the air logistics arm of the U.S. Air Force. He leads internal communications programs, unifying enterprise-wide internal messaging efforts supporting four-star general objectives. Throughout his career, Simmons has led teams in many roles, including combat correspondent team leader, chief of staff and chief communications officer of a global headquarters in a 124,000-person dispersed organization. Simmons is a certified project management professional who blends the art of PR with the science of project management. His projects have been highlighted on CNN, Discovery Channel and Popular Mechanics, as well as in such movies as “Man of Steel.” Simmons has held posts or conducted ops in five countries. His military awards include four commendation medals from the Air Force and Army, along with the Humanitarian Service Medal.
