Janis Avila

Janis Avila is Director of Employee Experience at Facebook. Previously, she served as Executive Director in Digital Customer Experience at JP Morgan Chase & Co. She transitioned from HR to customer experience during her tenure at Union Bank, where she led customer experience strategy for the Consumer Lending Division and the home mortgage experience. Avila's career spans ​several industries​. She began her career in HR in media and the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, serving in HR leadership roles at Univision and MGM Studios. She held roles in employee experience and diversity and helped build the HR Business Partner function at Union Bank. Avila has been consistently recognized for her contributions as a top performer and thought-leader, and has been a speaker for Worldwide Business Research, including the Next Generation Customer Experience Conference. She also served on the advisory board for WBR’s NGCX 2018 conference and is a member of the Customer Experience Professional Association. Her ​community contributions include Jr. Achievement, Nonprofit Management Solutions, Communities-In-Schools, and Girls, Inc.
