Heidi P.T. Upton is an employee communications leader with nearly 25 years of experience. With a rich background spanning multiple industries including financial services, technology, insurance, retail, CPG, and pharma, she’s cultivated a diverse skill set and a keen understanding of how to help organizations communicate their vision, values, and unique narratives effectively to their employees – the heartbeat of every company.
She is a true connector and a strong believer in transparent and authentic communication. She has not only created and managed strategic global corporate and HR employee communication campaigns for numerous companies, but she has also developed programs to re-articulate and strengthen company culture through storytelling; produced major engagement events; launched digital communications channels, recognition and wellness platforms; established multi-channel measurement dashboards to gauge effectiveness; and has tied corporate purpose to benefits, wellbeing, philanthropic and inclusion & diversity initiatives.
Heidi received her B.A. in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from California State University, Chico and is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner. She lives in Northern Vermont with her husband, two kids and two cats. Outside of work Heidi enjoys volunteering with the Junior League of Champlain Valley, reading, cooking, sailing on Lake Champlain, and skiing corduroy in the Green Mountains.
