Global Leader, Digital Technology & Transformation Communications - GE Vernova

 Clarissa Ilyas leads Digital Technology & Transformation Communications for GE Vernova. As strategic partner to GE Vernova’s Chief Information Officer, Clarissa leads executive and internal communications to support GE Vernova’s information technology strategy, focused on enabling business performance and outcomes as well as building a culture of success. In addition to digital technology, she leads communications strategy for GE Vernova’s Transformation Management Office and AI Strategy organizations.

Clarissa brings 20 years of experience leading executive and internal communications for Fortune 500 companies across diverse industries. For the past six years prior to joining GE Vernova, she served as global Digital Technology Communications Leader for GE, leading the company's IT communications organization and strategy with matrix leadership for GE’s business segment Digital Technology communications teams. She was instrumental as part of the GE Corporate team that drove GE’s change management communications strategy in support of the company’s successful separation into three independent companies – GE Vernova, GE Aerospace and GE Healthcare.

Prior to GE, Clarissa led executive communications at NCR Corporation for five years, where she served as strategic communications partner to NCR's Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel and Chief Information Officer, leading communication programs to support the company's transformation strategy – including managing global M&A integration communication strategy and execution. Earlier in her career, she held communication leadership roles with McKesson Corporation, Cox Enterprises and BellSouth (now AT&T). Clarissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations from The University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University. Outside of work, she is an active member of the National Black MBA Association Atlanta Chapter and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, where she leads service committees focused on financial education.
