Ben Cumming
Chief Communications Officer - Responsible Business Initiative for Justice
Ben Cumming is the chief communications officer at the Responsible Business Initiative for Justice (RBIJ), where he is responsible for directing all internal and external communications activity. As part of the senior leadership team, Ben also helps to guide RBIJ’s strategic direction, management and growth. Previously Ben was Deputy Head of Conferences/External Relations at Chatham House (The Royal Institute of International Affairs), and led LBCG’s Midstream and Downstream Divisions until 2015. He has an M.A. in Politics and International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, and studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. He is a Rising Leaders Fellow of Aspen Institute UK, and sits on the Board of Trustees for the nonprofits Youth Voice Trust and Action on Poverty. He is a recognized expert in issue-led communications, and has had bylines in PRWeek, Real Leaders, PRNews, The Telegraph and MIT Sloan Management Review.
