Global Crisis Communications - McDonald's

Bailey Williams is an award-winning manager on the Global Communications team at McDonald’s Corporation, supporting crisis communications. She brings journalism, non-profit, and private sector experience to her role.

In her prior role as a supervisor on the U.S. Brand Communications team at McDonald's, she supported the brand build trust with multicultural communities and be big in culture by advancing proactive storytelling and leading/supporting several campaigns, marketing activations and programs, including the Cardi B & Offset Meal, Global Famous Orders, the 2022 and 2023 Marcus Graham Project summer bootcamps, Essence and ColorComm.

Prior to McDonald’s, Bailey worked at AIDS Foundation Chicago as a Communications and Media Relations Manager, supporting the organization revamp its media strategy, increase media volume, and communicate with external stakeholders through owned channels and events. She also advised senior leaders on navigating and communicating about COVID-19 and co-created the organization’s first-ever racial equity action plan. Bailey has also worked as a journalist for local, national, and international outlets. Her stories have appeared in Newsday, U.S. News and World Report, WBOY-TV, and UPI.com.

Most recently, she was named one of the Publicity Club of Chicago’s 30 under 30 nominees, an award that recognizes leading young professionals in communications, marketing, and public relations, and a 2024 Top Women in Communications Rising Star by Ragan.
