Learn how the Tennessee Titans builds community on and off the field

Johari Matthews, VP and executive director of the ONE Community and Tennessee Titans Foundation,  will keynote Ragan’s Employee Experience Conference in Nashville this August.

Earlier this year, a study published by Oxford researcher William J. Fleming found that most employee wellness programs don’t actually make employees happier or drive productivity.

“The study… considered the outcomes of 90 different interventions and found a single notable exception: Workers who were given the opportunity to do charity or volunteer work did seem to have improved well-being,” reported the New York Times.

As the Ragan team prepares for our annual Employee Experience Conference, held this year in Nashville’s Four Seasons Hotel Aug. 12-14, 2024, we’re excited to welcome Johari Matthews, VP and executive director of the ONE Community and Tennessee Titans Foundation for a fireside keynote with Ragan Editorial Director and Editor-in-Chief Justin Joffe.

In her role Matthews, a Nashville native currently in her third season with the NFL team, drives engagement around the Titans Foundation’s community and philanthropic efforts across Tennessee. What began with restructuring the Titans’ community involvement around the announcement of a new stadium has evolved into establishing a forward-looking philanthropic platform, ONE Community. Focused on serving Middle TN’s most underserved and historically-marginalized communities through partnerships and outcome-based programs, the Foundation’s work engages members of the Titans organization in its effort to raise awareness, eliminate barriers, and provide resources that create generational change.

During Matthews’ keynote, attendees will learn how she engages the NFL team’s employees, players and leadership in community impact efforts that share time, energy and resources with the city of Nashville to boost brand affinity.

Our mission is to create generational change one person, one family, and one community at a time through dedicated programs and partnerships,” said Matthews.  “We are committed to serving and engaging our communities by building bridges to resources and awareness to become an inclusive ONE on and off the field.”
