Unfortunately, terrible managers are everywhere. The corporate landscape is rife with entrenched nincompoops, lurkers, oglers, liars, meddlers, credit stealers, misogynists, bigots, micro-managers, nitpickers, tantrum-throwers and an array of otherwise vexing nudniks who couldn’t run a banana stand.
There are plenty of reprehensible boss behaviors or traits that cause misery, but BambooHR interviewed 1,000 U.S.-based workers to find out what really drives workers up a wall—or out the door.
The most enraging behavior, according to this survey, is stealing credit for ideas. For those who’ve had well-deserved glory purloined by an underhanded boss, this is no surprise.
