With 15 thriving locations across France and five cafés in Belgium and Portugal, Café Joyeux has earned global recognition for its innovative approach to inclusivity. As co-founders Yann and his wife Lydwine Bucaille express their gratitude to all who have supported Café Joyeux’s journey. Through vocational training and employment in their restaurants, Café Joyeux empowers these individuals to thrive and contribute to society. Furthermore, the café’s profits are reinvested into opening new locations and supporting the ongoing development of its employees, creating a sustainable cycle of empowerment.
A diverse team of 19 individuals, including 14 with mental and cognitive disabilities, enthusiastically welcomed guests on their inaugural day of service. Each team member brings their unique talents and warmth, creating an atmosphere of inclusivity and acceptance.
As patrons enter Café Joyeux, they are greeted by an ambiance of harmony and authenticity. The café’s inviting decor, curated by renowned interior designer Sarah Poniatowski in collaboration with Gensler, sets the stage for unforgettable experiences. Meanwhile, the menu, curated by acclaimed chef Thierry Marx, promises culinary delights prepared with care and quality ingredients.
