Congratulations to the 2025 winners!


Employee communicators often work in the background, making sure everyone else has their star turn. But Wednesday night in Chicago, hundreds of these behind-the-scenes heroes had their own moment in the spotlight.

The finalists for Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards and honorees for Top Places to Work were recognized for their efforts to build culture, boost the bottom line and help employees thrive. Communicators also shared their advice for achieving remarkable results.

“My advice would just be to just be authentic in your stories,” Noel Burke, communications manager for people, policy and purpose at Cisco said as she accepted her award. “I think every company has great employees who have wonderful stories to share. Just be authentic and go out and get those stories back from your employees and teams and partners and customers.”

“Our one piece of advice is that it’s so important to bring internal and external communicators to the table early. By being brought in early, we were able to really create a cohesive campaign that we were so proud of,” offered Samantha Armstrong, Manager, Internal Communications for ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
