Infographic: Why employees quit
Are the reasons people give for ditching their jobs the real catalysts for their leaving? This infographic reveals what might actually be chasing your workers out the door.
When an employee leaves an organization, it can feel a lot like a breakup.
The employee usually gives a “it’s not you; it’s me” reason for leaving, like, “I need something closer to home,” “I’d like to try working in a different industry,” or “I want a position with more flex-time so I can spend time with my kids.”
Those are fine rationalizations for quitting a job, but are they the real reasons employees leave their positions?
To find out, BambooHR surveyed more than 1,000 U.S. workers and asked them what annoys them at work, hurts their productivity and would make them want to quit their jobs. The results are in the infographic below.
