30 jobs in the PR and marketing world
This week’s featured employment listings highlight agency work and offer several positions at the world’s largest PR firm, Edelman.
Though Don Draper made that remark to his fictional colleagues on “Mad Men,” real employees at PR firms are altering the discussion as well. Advertising Age reported that agency stocks—as well as employment positions—are at an all-time high, and that includes PR. Public relations firms in the United States employ nearly 60,000 people.
PR pros are keeping busy at those agencies: The Holmes Report estimated the 10 top global PR firms brought in $4.8 billion in fee income in 2014, collectively growing more than 5 percent from 2013.
Of the top 10 agencies—Edelman, Weber Shandwick, FleishmanHillard, Ketchum, MSL Group, Burson-Marsteller, Hill + Knowlton Strategies, Ogilvy Public Relations, Golin and Havas PR—all but two are headquartered in the United States. MLS Group and Havas PR have their main offices in France.
