This week’s job openings include positions out of this world—really. Employers from SpaceX and Magellan Aerospace are looking for candidates.
Director Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic film “Interstellar” comes out this Friday, and critics have already given the film glowing reviews.
That’s great news for moviegoers, who will spend nearly three hours watching Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway navigate through space to save Earth.
If you get inspired watching their mission this week, you might want to apply for a job that actually deals with things out of this world.
SpaceX is looking for a manager of guest operations and events. The position’s opening line sets up the opportunity pretty well: “Work to advance the course of human history and pave the way to Mars.”
The company’s ultimate goal is to enable people to live on other planets, so although “space cowboy” might not be printed on the successful candidate’s business card, the title might not be that far off.
