Infographic: Six in 10 Americans dislike oversharing on social media
Twenty percent of online networkers say they regret having overshared on Facebook, Twitter, and other sites. So think twice before you post something mundane or far too intimate—again.
Have you ever overshared on social media?
Maybe you shared a photo of your lunch, wrote a tweet about doing the laundry, or angrily commented on your ex’s new relationship status?
If so, you aren’t alone. An infographic from Delvv says one in five Americans admit they publish a text, tweet, or online comment they regret more than once a month.
Just because everybody overshares, that doesn’t mean it’s OK. The graphic reports that 61 percent of social media users dislike oversharing by others, and it says oversharing is one of the reasons why people might be tiring of social media.
