Two of the most popular ways to get in touch with co-workers are the phone and email. But for certain situations, one is better than the other.
We asked Ragan.com readers in which situation they would prefer to make a phone call over sending an email. Here’s what they said:
“I have to say ‘all of the above,'” Irene Ross said. “And then you have to narrow it even more depending on the specific situation. For example, there might be times when I’d be much more concerned about someone misinterpreting my tone. Or, perhaps the answer wouldn’t be all that long, but it might be possible to get more detailed information from a phone conversation.”
