The new Health Hub sneaked online this spring with little fanfare, but it’s part of a major trend in communications in the medical industry. The site demonstrates the sophisticated ways health care providers are using content—and brand journalism subcategory—to win patients.
Cleveland Clinic hopes the hub will be a go-to site for people seeking health information, whether it’s through TV-news-style videos or an article on five healthy habits you can learn from your dog.
The clinic wants it to be a one-stop portal where people can find out about a variety of health issues and medical procedures.
“Somebody with heart disease may also have arthritis or diabetes, or have loved ones with other health issues,” Scott Linabarger, director of digital marketing. “Here, you can get all of that information in one spot.”
