With Sports Cliché Week coming up July 11–17, we asked readers in a MyRagan Forum post, “What are some of your favorite and least favorite sports clichés used in the office?”

Baseball season is in full swing, so MyRaganites stepped up to the plate—and boy, did they come through in the clutch.

From the “Boy is that obvious” dept.: “We just have to take it one game at a time.” I don’t think I’d use this in the office.

Yeah, maybe we should take these one cliché at a time. (Maybe it’s too late.)

MMAMSDEN, communications expert, offers this banal acronym:

Not a big fan of “Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM).” It’s been a little overused.

More like, “Tired Employees Abhor Motivators.”
