It’s no secret that the stigma associated with mental illness prevents many from seeking help for widely treatable conditions. Starting and sustaining those important conversations about mental health issues lets employees who are struggling know they are not alone and that there are resources available to help.
At the first Ragan Workplace Wellness Conference, Sheila Collins lead communications advisor for Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Missions Systems discussed how the organization is dealing with mental health in the workplace as suicide rates among engineers became an issue.
