People in the U.S.—and in other countries—might be sipping an extra cup of joe this weekend.

As if we needed another reason to get our caffeine fix, Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day.

Countries around the world celebrate their own National Coffee Day on various dates, but International Coffee Day has been celebrated on Oct. 1 since 2015.

The goal of this year’s International Coffee Day celebration, according to the International Coffee Organization, the intergovernmental organization behind International Coffee Day, is to raise awareness for many coffee farmers worldwide who are not making a living wage, due to coffee bean overproduction. It’s asking concerned consumers to sign the #coffeepledge.

Many professionals seeking to caffeinate when starting the workday will visit a Starbucks location. (They’re not all that hard to find, as it turns out.)
