4 ways to ensure your content is relevant and worthwhile
Anticipate audience questions, try a bit of tasteful newsjacking, and establish yourself as a respected expert in your specific niche.
Marketing is all about creating what your audience finds relevant and helpful.
You can craft the hippest, sleekest, cleverest campaign the world has ever seen, but if your audience ignores it, what good does it do?
To create content and campaigns that resonate with the people you’re trying to reach, consider what your audience is expecting and already looking for. Try these four tips:
1. Predict—and answer—questions.
What’s your first move if you have a question about something? Most people go straight to the internet.
Savvy marketers should aggressively predict possible doubts, struggles, objections or questions that your audience may have—and craft content accordingly.
This is where keyword research comes in handy. Let’s say you own an online retail store that sells autographed books. You can use a keyword tool to uncover topic ideas and discover keywords and phrases that you stand a chance of ranking for. The idea is to home in on keywords with a decent search volume and minimal competition.
You could also simply type “autographed book” into your Google search bar, scroll down to the bottom of the first page, and see what people are searching for the most.
