3 phrases the Jets QB should use to quash the scandal
Although Mark Sanchez has not spoken publicly about his involvement with an underage woman, he should. And this is what he should say.
Mark Sanchez owes Hosni Mubarak big time.
The soon-to-be former Egyptian president’s problems have dominated the news, leaving the New York Jets quarterback to scramble his way out of a messy underage dating controversy, in relative obscurity.
“Relative,” that is, to what it might have been had world events not overwhelmed the report of a young Sanchez hooking up in a night of merriment with even younger, 17-year-old Eliza Kruger of Greenwich.
The revelations of the Sanchez soiree with the teenager came to light when Eliza, herself, breathlessly shared the details of their get-together—including cell phone photos of Sanchez’s bedroom, complete with, as The New York Post tastefully reported, “mussed-up bed“—with Deadspin.com.
While Eliza apparently now regrets her immediate quest for 10 minutes of notoriety, the image of the formerly pristine Jets quarterback has taken a direct hit.
